FELIZ AÑO NUEVO

Wow!!!! 2019 flew by for me, a complete year away from home serving the Lord down here in Argentina with the most amazing people in the world, my brothers and sisters!!! I got the video of me singing my solo for Light the World attached in the email, so make sure you check it out!

This past week we celebrated Noche Buena, which is a big feast on Christmas eve down here. We had lamb asado, matambre, the best cuts of meat on the parrilla...it was delicious!!! On Christmas we called our families and then I realized we had completed had of our week of working without any success or new people to teach. I was starting to worry a little bit. But then, I had a little faith and trusted that the Lord would help us fill our goals for the week So, we went out to work and we were able to find a family of 3 the first morning after having a prayer to Heavenly Father to help us find new people to teach! It was awesome! We walked up to start talking to them since they were already outside and they immediately pulled out a table and chairs for us to sit and talk no questions asked!! It was so sweet to see a great miracle occur before my eyes. And it was a great reminder for me to have a little more faith while doing missionary work, as always.

This week it has been SUUUPEERRR HOOOTTT!! But everyone down here is pretty nice. The heat index one day was 120! And the crazy part is that I have experienced hotter down here haha...but rest assured I am doing a-ok

Today I cooked an asado like a true Argentine!!! Estella tells me to not to eat a lot of pork, but I can't help it, it tastes so goood jajaja!

For this new year, I encourage you all to do Come, Follow me for the Book of Mormon. This year`s manual is suuupperrr copado especially the photos, many of which are absolutely beautiful. A new year means a new opportunity to change and to focus on how we can become more like Christ, better disciples of the Master. Don't let this chance to start anew fly by! Pray and seek guidance from our Heavenly Father on what you can do to be a little bit better. Perhaps go to church a little more, or read the scriptures daily, or to serve others more. Whatever your solution is, make it focused on the following the greatest example this world has ever had- Jesus Christ! Love you all a lot!!!!

RAIN STORM!

Hey yall!

This week was good! We have been working with Estella`s son Emmanuel and her mom Zulema. They are really sweet, humble, and fun people to talk to. We are teaching them about the gospel so they can join Estella by being baptized in January, so keep them in your prayers!!! Emmanuel is starting to love reading the Book of Mormon, which is awesome since normally he keeps quiet and doesn't say anything. Now he is starting to open up and be more friendly with us! And Estella is doing good. She seems more friendly and even though she gets bullied for being baptized, she seems to fight off the haters and grows her testimony along the way. She is awesome!

On Saturday it stormed and rained....like, a LOT. Most of our area was flooded and I didn `t have an umbrella so I got soaked...It definitely wasn't my favorite day. I lost my patience a lot that day, but it definitely has me thinking, What can I do better in situation like that? How can I be strong even when everything is going wrong? My companion told me to turn to God as a stress relief, not just whatever is comfortable in the moment. And he`s right, we should be turning to Him when things are going bad AND when it`s going good. I know from many times in my mission that God puts these trials in our lives to help us grow, with knowledge, skills, spirituality, repentance, etc. It has been such a blessing to see myself grow as well, becoming more reliable on God and the Savior Jesus Christ, which allows me to be independent from the carnal world and dependant on the Atonement and the power of God as His authorized representative here in Santa Fe.

Love yall!

Estella`s BAPTISM!!!

GREAT NEWS!! Estella entered into the waters of eternal life and was baptized and confirmed as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I was able to have the honor of exercising the priesthood authority of baptizing another daughter of God into His kingdom. Everytime I have the privilege to baptize someone it is always makes a strong spiritual impact on me, being in the font and saying the baptismal prayer...incredible! Always another testimony of the validity of the Church. Estella invited her son and her neighbor to church yesterday and they liked it a lot, and so we plan on working with them to help them experience the same blessings Estella has had. She told me thank you for having so much patience with her (she had been meeting the missionaries since June) and I never felt like it was a burden working with her. I always had faith that she would be baptized and enter into a new covenant with God, I just needed to develop faith and patience along the way, easily one of my favorite people to work with since everyday is a new drama story in her life hahaha I love you Estella!!!

On Wednesday we had a Christmas conference and we watched a new movie about the birth of Christ its only 17 minutes long but it is sooooooooo good! It is on youtube so go look it up it is called the Christ child, perfect for all ages. I cried a little bit it was so powerful the spirit!

Even though we lost some days of work do to conferences and tràmites and stuff, we made the most of the limited time we had. I know it was a great blessing to be able to accomplish a lot even if time wasn't on our side. If we go out to work and trust in Him, we will accomplish whatever we need to do. Look for ways you all can be true disciples of Christ in every moment, trusting him in all thy paths and challenges in life.

That`s all I got this week! Love you all tremendously as always. Thanks for your prayers and love!

El Poder de La Fe Verdadera

Muy buenas tardes còmo andan ustedes mis queridos?

This week was AWESOME! Estella passed her baptismal interview and will be baptized FRIDAY!!!! WOOO! She has been steadily prepared by the Lord throughout her life to be able to take part in this special moment towards salvation! I prayed really hard for her to pass her interview and to be ready to take on this commitment and it was a great builder of my faith I gave it all to the Lord and he took care of the rest. I think especially when we gave Estella`s mom a blessing of health. I promised her that she would recover and be able to sleep peacefully, as she had been vomiting and whatnot (She`s 83 years old, so she can `t fight every little sickness) and the next day when Estella took her to the hospital, the doctors said she was fine and that nothing was wrong. As well as that night she slept well enough to recover. A miracle! The power of the priesthood of God is real when we have faith and trust that the words of recovery will have a divine effect. Keep them in your prayers!!!

Also when I was with a less active family this week, it was tough opening up and sharing the gospel message with them at first, but then they told me about some of their struggles and the spirit hit me super hard and shared them about how the same happened to my mom and I started crying and the tone of the lesson changed and now we are good friends because of it.

That`s all I got this week! Love ya
